How MEPCO Load Shedding Works
MEPCO receives an allocated power quota from the national grid (managed by NTDC). When demand exceeds supply, MEPCO rotates outages across feeders — groups of consumers on the same power line. Each feeder has a scheduled outage window.

Call MEPCO 118
If you cannot find your schedule online, call 118 and provide your Consumer ID — staff can tell you your feeder and schedule.
When Load Shedding Exceeds the Schedule
If your area is experiencing more outages than the official schedule, this is called unannounced or extra load shedding — often caused by feeder faults, transformer issues, or cable damage. Call MEPCO 118 to report the fault and get a complaint reference number.
