Getting a new MEPCO electricity connection involves submitting an application, providing required documents, and paying connection charges. The process typically takes 2–4 weeks for a standard domestic connection.

Required Documents

Step-by-Step Process
Visit MEPCO Subdivision Office
Go to your nearest MEPCO office with all documents and collect Form A.
Submit Application
Fill the form, attach documents, and submit. You will receive a tracking receipt.
Site Inspection
MEPCO sends a technical team within 3–7 days to inspect and measure distance from the transformer.
Demand Notice
MEPCO issues a Demand Notice stating the exact connection charges based on the inspection.
Pay Charges
Pay the demand notice amount at any MEPCO-designated bank and keep the receipt.
Meter Installation
After payment, meter is installed within 7–14 working days. Your Consumer ID arrives with the first bill.
