MEPCO Security Deposit Refund 2026 — How to Get Your Money Back
When you applied for a MEPCO electricity connection, you paid a security deposit — typically Rs. 1,000–5,000 for domestic connections. This amount is refundable when you surrender your connection or when MEPCO determines you no longer need it as security.
When Can You Claim Security Deposit Refund?
- When you surrender your connection permanently
- When you are moving out and want the connection terminated
- When your connection is being transferred to a new owner
- When MEPCO has held the deposit for many years and your payment history is clean (case-by-case basis)
Required Documents
- ✓ Original CNIC of the account holder
- ✓ Latest paid MEPCO bill
- ✓ Original connection receipt showing deposit amount (if available)
- ✓ Application letter requesting refund / connection surrender
